Grateful Repentance

We normally don't think of Lent as a time to show gratitude, but they do go hand in hand, as this poem shows. Repentance is about making whole, repairing what is broken. That is indeed something to be grateful for.

Among broken shards
I now see the potter's worth--
Gratitude makes whole.
